SwitchBot Launches Universal Remote with Matter Support

Smart home retrofitting and automation company SwitchBot has unveiled its new Universal Remote. The SwitchBot Universal Remote offers support for Matter when used with the SwitchBot Hub 2 or Hub Mini Matter Enabled, allowing for more ways to consumers to control their homes.

The new Universal Remote supports a wide range of IR devices, including TVs, air conditioners, lights, fans, DVD players, and projectors. Its infrared code library, updated every six months, supports up to 83,934 remote control models. Integration with other SwitchBot devices includes the Bot, Plug Mini, Curtain, and Ceiling Light, as well as Apple TV and Fire TV. With its Matter support, the SwitchBot Universal Remote can control any range of smart home devices that also support the Matter protocol.
