Control and automation manufacturer, RTI, is now shipping its new IST-10 and IST-5 Intelligent Surfaces touch panels, which the company will demonstrate at CEDIA Expo, September 5-7 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.
“These new touch panels deliver best-in-class and first-in-class features that will enable integrators to do more intelligent, integrated, and inspired solutions,” said RTI Chief Product Officer Mike Jordan. “We are the new RTI, and these new solutions highlight the incredible opportunities we’re creating for dealers.”
The IST-10 and IST-5 are 10” and 5” touch panels, respectively, with the narrowest bezel on the market and a low profile to the wall. Each features a fully customizable capacitive touch screen with 1920×1200 (IST-10) or 854×480 (IST-5) resolution and a true-black display filter for exceptional clarity. The thin bezel, low profile, and sharp display deliver both “exceptional performance and elevated aesthetics,” according to the company.
The IST-10 and IST-5 feature dual speakers and far-field microphone arrays and enable full duplex intercom and video streaming in h.264 or h.265 format. For privacy, each includes a mute button for the microphone, while the hi-res camera on the IST-10 ensures privacy with a physical shutter that can quickly cover the camera lens.
With proximity and ambient light sensors, the touch panels quickly wake upon approach and adjust to the room lighting. The 5” IST-5 and the 10” IST-10 can mount portrait or landscape in a U.S. single gang box.
“Response to the new touch panels has been overwhelmingly positive,” Jordan added. “And we’ve launched these with a substantial update to the backgrounds and icons in the Coral template. Integrators can get beautiful results right out of the box and, of course, can customize the interface 100% for a full bespoke solution.”
