Midea, a pioneer in Matter certification, showcased its groundbreaking Matter-connected dishwasher at IFA 2023, reinforcing its commitment to the industry standard. IFA, the world’s premier home appliances exhibition, is taking place in Berlin from September 1 to 5 this year.
Patrick Serrato, Head of IoT at Midea America Corp. and an Alliance Board Member, emphasized the brand’s dedication to creating genuinely smart products that offer tangible benefits. “Enabling users to seamlessly integrate Midea’s smart home appliances with third-party devices through the Matter standard is central to our mission,” he stated. Midea previously achieved Matter certification for an air conditioner and demonstrated a Matter-connected fan purifier.
Even without Matter integration, Midea’s latest dishwasher boasts an array of intelligent features that simplify daily life. The accompanying app allows for remote control, enabling users to manage the dishwasher from anywhere. It also sends timely notifications as reminders for dishwasher maintenance.
With Matter integration, Midea’s dishwasher offers a streamlined and secure setup process, ensuring a uniform experience across various devices, whether it’s a dishwasher, lightbulb, or door lock. Once configured, the dishwasher seamlessly interacts with other Matter-compatible devices throughout the household, regardless of their brand.
Midea’s Matter-connected dishwashers are poised to be among the first in the market to offer services to consumers with the upcoming launch of Matter version 1.20, expected by the end of September or early October.
