It was the first trade event for the KNX Association after the Covid epidemic. As a Presenting Show Partner at ISE 2022, their objective was to encourage professionals to get started with KNX if they were unfamiliar with the technology and learn more about KNX IoT, which is a KNX extension.
Various themes from different types of co-exhibitors
In its spacious 240m² booth 2M400, KNX welcomed various themes and co-exhibitors. Ten KNX Members were co-exhibiting at the KNX booth, to showcase the newest KNX devices and solutions, which were recently launched in the market or will market soon.
In addition, two KNX Training Centres based in Barcelona were on hand to advise on a range of training programmes. The Training Centres also conducted KNX Championship, an open competition which involved setting up an installation within a limited time and following strict instructions. This gave a chance for professionals to win an ETS license or ETS Apps.
The KNX Spain National Group also had a dedicated space to inform interested visitors about their local activities and opportunities for Partners and Members. Several KNX Spain Members also joined forces and demonstrated their selected KNX devices and solutions.
With the first KNX IoT products and solutions having been revealed in April 2022, further information about KNX IoT was made available at the KNX stand at ISE 2022. This included a dedicated panel for professionals and manufacturers wishing to gain basic or in-depth knowledge of the KNX installation landscape using KNX IoT, and/or developing KNX IoT devices and solutions.
IoT Solutions World Congress
KNX also participated in the IoT Solutions World Congress, to present the KNX IoT Technology, which makes the integration of any IoT solution to any automation project in homes and buildings possible. There were a few KNX sessions in the conference program, addressing the future of IoT in home and building automation, setting up high standards for the IoT industry in home and automation, and how IoT transforms building automation. There was also a special event KNX Startup Forum. The forum aimed to help remove the barriers on the road to success for startups interested in the smart home and building industry.
