Snap One Unveils Major Clare Software Update

Snap One, now part of ADI, has launched its latest software update for Clare, introducing several new features for integrator partners and end users designed to help increase safety and improve the overall user experience with greater visibility into systems, flexibility, and additional third-party integrations. These new updates include FusionPro enhancements ClareOne Panel and ClareHome App updates, as well as new drivers and integrations.

Integrator experience enhancements to the FusionPro backend include the addition of Account-Level Trouble Conditions, allowing installers to catch and address potential issues such as low sensor signal, central station monitoring not being configured, LTE disconnected, panel offline, and more before signing off on a job. Additionally, with the new FusionPro System Audit Log, administrators can see when, what, and who has changed settings on an account, which is critical to identifying and understanding why changes were made.

The ClareHome App now features a rebuilt backend database infrastructure, improving performance and reliability, and adding redundancies to help mitigate system issues. The App also offers integrators the ability to create multiple primary users on a single account.

For the ClareOne Panel, new integrator partner enhancements include a Security API to support third-party integrations, allowing other smart home and automation systems to utilize Clare as its security component. In addition, installers are now able to set the ClareOne Panel to Z-Wave pairing mode from the ClareOne Panel Installer Settings menu, removing the need to have the panel connected to a local network. This is especially helpful in new deployments where Wi-Fi connectivity is not immediately available. This also makes Z-Wave pairing available for end users through the panel, instead of asking their integrator to make additions via FusionPro.

End users can now access enhancements to the ClareHome App, including a new Notifications Management screen that automatically populates preset notifications depending on the devices available on a given project, allowing users to toggle specific preset notifications. Also added is a new “Low Battery” alert for door locks when the battery threshold drops below 20%; and a new control tile allowing users to manually control their Z-Wave water valve from the ClareHome App and ClareOne Panel. The water valve update is perfect for users leaving their homes for an extended period and looking for extra peace of mind.

Finally, new drivers and integrations include added support for Schlage Wi-Fi Door Locks, Alarm.com Z-Wave Water Shutoff Valve, and Zooz Keypad Scene Controllers. Integrator partners can now assign scenes to Zooz keypad buttons to simplify activation from other locations in their homes.
